ABOUT ARTHUR MILLER FOUNDATION

ABOUT AMF

The Arthur Miller Foundation (AMF) is a grassroots, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization increasing equitable access to quality theater education for public school students by certifying and supporting teachers to build sustainable in-school theater programs. In-school theater instruction, provided by a full-time, certified theater teacher and included as an integral part of a comprehensive K-12 public school education, ensures access to all, regardless of economic status.

The Arthur Miller Foundation Fellows Program increases public school teacher retention rates by supporting theater educators with three years of tailored resources (mentorship, cultural partner residencies, classroom materials and student Broadway theater tickets, professional development) to create a holistic and sustainable theater education program. AMF supports Fellows in New York City Public Schools, and underserved districts in Connecticut impacting nearly 60,000 students.

The Arthur Miller Foundation Scholars Program provides 50% tuition scholarships to select candidates committed to obtaining a state certification in Theater and an MS.Ed. Degree in Educational Theatre from The City College of New York to teach theater full-time in a public school.
